Founded in 1983, the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara is a public non-profit charitable corporation. With the goal of enhancing our community's awareness and appreciation of architecture and the built environment, the Architectural Foundation offers and supports a diverse array of programs serving both North and South Santa Barbara County. These activities provide educational opportunities for the public and involve participation and support from local design and building professionals. Through its ongoing programs and resources the Foundation seeks to promote quality in design, construction, and preservation and to foster an understanding of excellence in the urban environment. Santa Barbara's favorite wine festival has become a mid-summer tradition. This beachside wine, food and music fest attracts thousands of local and visiting wine lovers. Three days of distinctive and different wine events offers something for everyone. THURSDAY is "Old Spanish Nights" at the historic De La Guerra Adobe courtyard in downtown Santa Barbara. Spicy tapas, hot-blooded Spanish dancers and a focus on Santa Barbara County wines. FRIDAY “Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting” is casually elegant, with rare trophy wines and fine gourmet appetizers complimented by cool blues and jazz as the sun sets over beautiful Santa Barbara. SATURDAY is the “Beachside Wine & Food Fest” - a high spirited celebration of sun, sea, wine, food and music. Hundreds of wines, dozens of gourmet foods, fruits, cheeses, and desserts make this a day-long party not to be missed.
